It is composed of the following areas:

  • Automotive wholesale parts – this has three different areas within the division.
  • Construction materials
  • Automotive retail parts – this division owns four separate companies

They would like you to identify consolidation and off-shoring opportunities.

Case Study Overview

Your client is looking for ways to increase growth and profitability and they are looking to you to identify possible avenues for them. In this Deloitte case study, it’s your job to get to know the holdings of your client and give them specific strategies for decreasing costs through consolidation. How would you tackle this case?

The Profitability Framework will prove helpful to solve this case study, but since the problem is specific to your client and their holdings, you will want to develop a solution that is unique to their situation. The top interview candidates show a knack for building custom frameworks using their business acumen and experience.

Make sure you are able to clearly communicate how you arrived at your solution. And don’t underestimate the importance of the fit portion of your interview!
