The client in this BCG company case study is a major consumer electronics retailer. The company is facing increasing competition, and has asked you to survey the market in order to better understand the industry and how to adjust in the face of changing retail models. Your job is to give the client a recommendation on what retail model to adapt.

The Market Study Framework is a good basic framework to use as the baseline structure for the case. Don’t restrict yourself to that framework alone – use your creativity and business understanding to create a custom framework.

This case is most similar to what you would see in a 2nd round at BCG. The case contains no math exhibits to interpret.
