Case Intro

It is 2012, and our client is Sports 360, a major sports channel based in the U.S. It is considering the acquisition of the TV rights to broadcast the 2022 World Cup happening in Qatar from mid November to mid December.

Sports 360 has kicked off negotiations with FIFA, the World Cup’s organizing body. There is a critical meeting in 2 weeks to discuss pricing for the TV rights.

The CEO has hired us to provide him with a recommendation on the price Sports 360 should be willing to pay to acquire the U.S. TV rights for the 2022 World Cup.
