This client is a producer of snowboarding equipment, with two distinct major product ranges: boards and clothes.
There has been a recent fall in profitability. Describe and understand the reasons for the fall. Once that has been completed, develop a range of strategic options for the company, which will lead to a return to profit growth.
Case Overview
This case study involves a snowboarding company that is experiencing declining profitability. Your job is to determine the root causes of the decline, and develop a strategy that will get the company back to profitability.
You may use the Profitability Framework as you build out your structure for the case, but don’t rely on the basic frameworks. The best case interview candidates use their business acumen and frameworks knowledge to create the best possible structure for the case problem.
The case interview math in this case is no walk in the park – expect to be challenged. In addition to the case interview math, there are several math exhibits you’ll be required to interpret. Overall, the case is like what you could expect in a final round interview.
