Simon Business School - University of Rochester
The Simon Business School at the University of Rochester, prepares students to face challenges through a non-traditional approach to management education. They endeavor to teach students how to analyze problems and create innovative and strategic recommendations- keeping this at the core of the school’s curriculum. Students are able to confidently communicate their work and make crucial business decisions.
The education is rigorous because it prepares students succeed in challenging and dynamic business environments. The curriculum is known as a leader in quantitative, economics-based learning. The school heavily combines analytics-based academics with hands-on opportunities. The wide variety of courses provide students with critical abilities to understand, explain, and anticipate business behaviors.
The school recently revised their curriculum and added new opportunities for students. Students can now take more electives during the first year, and take them earlier in their field of study. Students are also places in a cohort of students with on similar career paths to work through curriculum together. The core of the program involves nine required courses, as well as a Communicating Business Decisions sequence. Additionally students are assigned a client project that aligns with their future career interests.
