Rice University
Rice University, in Houston’s Museum District, offers a vibrant student life in the country’s fourth-largest city. All students are assigned to one of 11 residential colleges when they arrive on campus, and they remain members of that college even if they move off campus. Housing, lodging, and academic and social activities are all provided by the residential colleges.
The School of Social Sciences, School of Humanities, and Wiess School of Natural Sciences are among Rice’s eight colleges. Rice also has the Shepherd School of Music and the School of Architecture, all of which are highly regarded. Rice University is home to the nonpartisan James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, which provides coursework, internships, and lectures.
