Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley was the second business school ever established in the U.S. Miles away from Silicon Valley, students have opportunities to work with some of the best in business. Graduates of UC Berkeley have founded companies like Apple, Tesla, eBay, and Intel.
Thanks to the financial backing of Cora Jane Flood, UC Berkeley opened a College of Commerce in 1898. In 1910, Walter A. Haas graduated from the school and went on to be president of Levi Strauss & Co. He eventually served on the school’s first advisory council and had a close relationship with many of the deans. His children went on to make the financial contribution that funded the program’s current building – the university renamed the school in honor of him.
Now, Haas School of Business’s research and alumni are influencing businesses across the world. The performance of their most recent graduating class can be found in the Haas MBA Employment Report.
