Stroud was founded in 2001 as a management consultancy dedicated to driving operational improvement. The two founding offices are located in Boston, Massachusetts and London, United Kingdom – with an additional location in Calgary, Alberta.

The firm works with a variety of businesses in both the public and private sectors. Since the beginning of the firm, its primary work was in the chemical and manufacturing sectors including: fibers, coatings, food and beverage, paper and packaging, pharmaceuticals, and oil. The firm has maintained a growing and strong client base within these sectors. Over the years the firm has expanded its scope, now including infrastructure, defense services, and healthcare.
