Bainbridge started as a boutique firm that helped a professor research and publish his work. However, since then, it has become a national management consultancy and capital advisory firm. The firm is split into two separate companies – Bainbridge Consulting and Bainbridge Capital are independent companies – Bainbridge Inc., is a management consulting firm and Bainbridge Capital, Inc., is an M&A advisory firm. Each firm takes a decidedly non-traditional approach to working with clients by employing a unique process of Primary-Source research and analysis, building relationships with key players in the industry to gain rich business intelligence, straight from the source.

The firm was first founded in 1975 in Illinois by Boulton Bainbridge Miller. The company is now, however, headquartered in San Diego. The firm provides its consulting services and advises M&As for a variety of clientele globally – working with startups to Fortune 1000 companies, from the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. As a combined entity, the firm primarily helps organizations perform more efficiently and effectively, and grow faster. In addition, the firm focuses on capital advisory services, where it introduces clients to new markets and industries, as well as implements public and private transactions.
