FTI Consulting, Inc. is a knock global business advisory firm. The firm was founded in 1982 in Maryland. FTI is dedicated to protecting and enhancing enterprise value for its clients in an increasingly complex regulatory, legal, and economic environment.

FTI began as a small forensic consulting firm and grew into a global business advisory firm that was an alternative to the Big Four. The firm now has 8,000 employees across more than 30 countries. Since its founding, there has been turmoil in world markets, and a growing need for transparency and objectivity, allowing FTI Consulting to have a large influence on world affairs in many different capacities. By serving as a trusted advisor to its clients in the good, bad and ugly, FTI Consulting has grown to be one of the market-leading global consulting firms.

There are ultimately six sectors of FTI including: Corporate Finance & Restructuring, Forensic and Litigation Consulting, Health Solutions, Economic Consulting, Technology, and Strategic Communication. Each segment has its own offices scattered globally to assist global brands in a variety of industries with their most complex challenges.

Some of its areas of expertise within Strategic Communication include public affairs, corporate and financial communications, reputation management, investor relations, brand communications, and business consulting.

In May 2020, it was announced that FTI Consulting had acquired certain assets of TMT consulting firm Delta Partners. This acquisition adds depth to FTI’s strategy consulting practice and business transformation and transaction capabilities.
